SolarCity is featuring a new character in its latest campaign, “At Home with Ra,” and, spoiler alert, it’s a ancient deity with the head of a falcon. America’s number one solar provider teamed up with Arnold and Ra, the Egyptian sun god, to remind everyone that a company with serious clean energy goals can still have a sense of humor.
The campaign, which comes to life through online video, programmatic TV, social, display and radio, features the sun god helping out around the house – vacuuming, trimming the hedges and powering reading lamps. And while the visuals are otherworldly, the message is simple: Put the infinite power of the sun to work and save. Because, at the end of the day, that’s what SolarCity is all about.
Arnold partnered with Hungry Man’s Conor Byrne, a Cannes Young Director Award winner and two-time 2015 Cannes Lion recipient, to help make the environmentally-conscious deity and supernaturally routine world envisioned by Arnold and SolarCity a reality.
