WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
A Senior UX Designer for our Product & Service Design team, reporting to the SVP, Experience Design Director. This team’s mission is to generate new ideas and create interactive experiences that provide utility or entertainment for consumers (on behalf of a brand). Everything we do, we make – things people can see, touch and interact with.
In service of this mission, the Sr. UX Designer is responsible for leading UX design for complex, large-scale initiatives: developing an in-depth understanding of the end-user – what they need, what they value, their abilities and their limitations – identifying behavioral patterns and user preferences to help inform the design of experiences that meets all consumer needs in the most simple, pleasing and elegant manner, without causing fuss or agitation.
You love working closely with fellow creatives to help spark, generate and shape interactive ideas into their most usable, useful and compelling form. You thrive on representing user empathy, systemic-thinking and iterative design practices throughout the creative process. You know how to define and design user experience, interaction model, interface, and information architecture as they relate to the user, business and technical needs.
You understand technology and how it can be a facilitator of an end-user’s desired experience and are always on the lookout for emerging technology. You’re at your best presenting new work and the latest interactive & UX best practices to both team members and clients.
You have all sorts of awesome tricks for creating and communicating the structure, logic, flow and navigation of interactive ideas through lo-fi prototypes, wireframes, sitemaps, experience flows and inventories. Your favorite process is bringing ideas to life via interactive prototyping: to mock-up, test, and refine ideas/hypotheses, leading & conducting user-testing when possible to learn from, evaluate and modify the user’s experience.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Listens well. Design thinker who’s obsessive about problem solving. Collaborative, curious, passionate and driven. Enjoys a variety of challenges. Comfortable with the unconventional, challenging the status quo and promoting out-of-the-box thinking. Sharp eye for owning the details. Demonstrable knowledge of UX best practices and understanding of user-centered design processes & tools, with a hunger to learn and grow.
