Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



The Marketing Manager provides client and brand team leadership, develops mid-level client relationships and is regarded as a highly trusted resource.  S/he will escalate issues to leadership and will work with Marketing Director to determine the best way to deliver a difficult message to both the brand/project team and the client effectively. S/he manages the day-to-day delivery of all aspects of projects. S/he demonstrates potential to be a good strategist and storyteller.  S/he well organized, provides thoughtful input, and manages brand team resources effectively. 



Marketing Acumen:

  • Begin to understand the client’s business and maintain current industry knowledge
  • Work to understand business problems/challenges and begins to work with the Marketing Director client to apply our solutions to their problems feeding the process to deliver great work
  • Routinely observes and evaluates quality of work being developed and leaving the agency

Relationship Management:

  • Developing abilities in creating trusting relationships at the peer level of the client organization; moderate level of client contact
  • Serve as internal champion for client initiatives while learning how to have a healthy give/take relationship between client and agency based on mutual trust and respect
  • Understand and anticipate the client’s business needs; provide insight beyond current project(s)
  • Run effective working client meetings presentations to peer level clients
  • Successfully build a collaborative and inspiring work environment
  • Coordinate with agency partners to share information, and collaborate on client deliverables

Operational Aptitude:

  • Partner with team to deliver projects/initiatives on time and on budget
  • Proactively manage client expectations by communicating project and profit risks to team and client
  • Oversee management of specific project as assigned
  • Manage cross-functional team by establishing direction and providing information required for successful delivery
  • Understanding of intra-agency processes to efficiently execute work
  • Ability to multitask with multiple accounts and projects, and prioritize among different deliverables



  • Express oneself clearly and concisely in oral communications
  • Write in a clear and concise manner
  • Organize ideas and information logically and sequentially
  • Move team members to desired action through clear and persuasive delivery of information
  • Developing formal and informal presentation skills

  • Support Agency Marketing team with case studies of client work, results, etc.
  • Take an active role in building a positive agency culture
  • Support new business development activities, pro bono client activity and agency initiatives




Business Management

  • Partner with Operations to insure project scope, metrics, and delivery are aligned to deliver on-time, on strategy, and on-budget solutions
  • Understand account financials and adheres to agency policies and process to manage costs to help meet or exceed profit margin targets
  • Review finance documents including budget tracker, job summary and reports to manage the day-to-day activitites


Required Knowledge & Skills


  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • 2-3 years of applicable marketing and agency experience
  • 1+ year of pharma experience preferred
  • Ability to keep composure and lead in high stress situations
  • Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal skills, especially in situations involving consensus and team building with strong problem solving abilities
  • Exceptional organizational skills
