Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager provides client and brand team leadership, develops mid-level client relationships and is regarded as a highly trusted resource. S/he is responsible for client satisfaction, revenue growth, and business profitability for his/her assigned accounts. S/he will escalate issues to leadership and will work with Marketing Director to determine the best way to deliver a difficult message to both the brand/project team and the client effectively. S/he manages current client revenue, and works with Marketing Director and Client Partner to identify opportunities to expand current revenue streams. S/he has an entrepreneurial spirit, identifies new business opportunities within the client. S/he demonstrates potential to be a good strategist and storyteller. S/he identifies the approach and immediate direction for the account with the input of internal stakeholders and then assists in selling it to the client. S/he well organized, provides thoughtful input, and manages brand team resources effectively.

WORK 

Marketing Acumen:

  • Begin to understand the client’s business and maintain current industry knowledge
  • Work to understand business problems/challenges and begins to work with the Marketing Director client to apply our solutions to their problems feeding the process to deliver great work
  • Assist in building and championing integration of the business
  • Contribute to industry leading thought leadership by driving innovation and the delivery of forward thinking solutions
  • Create opportunities to share knowledge and learning of emerging marketing trends
  • Is viewed by others as an inspirational and thought provoking leader. Routinely observes and evaluates quality of work being developed and leaving the agency

Relationship Management:

  • Developing abilities in creating trusting relationships at the peer level of the client organization; moderate level of client contact
  • Serve as internal champion for client initiatives while learning how to have a healthy give/take relationship between client and agency based on mutual trust and respect
  • Understand and anticipate the client’s business needs; provide insight beyond current project(s)
  • Run effective working client meetings presentations to peer level clients
  • Successfully build a collaborative and inspiring work environment
  • Actively work to build relationships across Arnold teams to develop cohesive innovative solutions

Operational Aptitude:

  • Partner with team to deliver projects/initiatives on time and on budget
  • Proactively manage client expectations by communicating project and profit risks to team and client
  • Oversee management of specific project as assigned
  • Participate in achieving project/client objectives through own activities with some direction and support from others
  • Manage cross-functional team with limited support by establishing direction and providing information required for successful delivery
  • Understanding of intra-agency processes to efficiently execute work.

  • Express oneself clearly and concisely in oral communications
  • Write in a clear and concise manner
  • Organize ideas and information logically and sequentially
  • Move team members to desired action through clear and persuasive delivery of information

  • Beginning to develop a point of view on best practices and solutions across functions
  • Support Agency Marketing team with case studies of client work, results, etc.

  • Support new business development activities, pro bono client activity and agency initiatives
     

FINANCES

Business Management

  • Partner with Accouny Operations to insure project scope, metrics, and delivery are aligned to deliver on-time, on strategy, and on-budget solutions

Growth

  • Understand client scopes of work and identify projects that are organic revenue growth opportunities for Arnold that drives business success for the client. Works with Marketing Director to sell into client organization

Margin Management

  • Understand account financials and adheres to agency policies and process to manage costs to help meet or exceed profit margin targets

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • 2-5 years of applicable marketing and agency experience
  • Ability to keep composure and lead in high stress situations
  • Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal skills, especially in situations involving consensus and team building with strong problem solving abilities
  • Demostrated exceptional organizational skills

  • Has track record of helping to steward award winning work
  • Regarded internally as an exceptional leader
  • Demonstrated ability in creating the right casting and service models to service and grow client’s business
  • Proven abilities in public speaking, writing and socialization of the agency brand
  • Proven track record of contributing to agency’s cross-discipline operations and business development
